Privacy Policy
I comply with privacy and confidentiality legislation as regulated by the Province of Ontario and the Government of Canada. This means that I do respect your right to privacy and confidentiality. There are times, when required by law, I must break your right to confidentiality.
I am required, by law, to:
1) Report suspected abuse or potential for harm to the policy. If a child is involved, Children's Aid Society must also be notified.
2) If a judge subpoenas (i.e., gives a court order) documents, we must provide whatever has been ordered to the judge.
In cases where your insurance company or employer requests information, I prefer to provide you with the requested documents so that you can decide what you share with your insurer or employer. In cases where the requested materials must come directly from the service provider to the requester, I will not act until I have received written consent from you to provide the requested information to the specified requester.
